36 Weeks!

36weeks
4 weeks to go!   Yay!!!  It's been a busy last couple of weeks.  This last week we got the crib.  Ryan and I also took a tour of the hospital after the last getting ready for baby class.  I also had a doctors appointment this week.  Everything seems to be on the rise including my weight.  I will now start my weekly doctors appointments!  The babies heart beat was 145.  She was very active but there was a heartbeat.  Ryan is enjoying playing with her.  He pushes on my stomach to make her move and then he almost pukes when she does.  As of now my belly button is still in but Ryan swears it's going to pop out when I laugh.
The last couple of weeks have been busy so here are some pictures of what's been happening.
Here are a few pictures from the baby shower!

33 Weeks

So glad this week is over and hoping next week is better.  I had a doctors appointment this week.  The babies heart rate was 150bpm.  Everything looked good but my blood pressure is high again so he wants me to come back next week.  Ugggghh!  I have a pretty good idea of why my blood pressure is up and I'm trying to fix the problem.  Ryan is pretty stressed out about delivery and as we get closer and closer the more he freaks out.  As I mentioned before Ryan has decided to make some changes and is trying to get rid of some bad habits so he has not been the friendliest person to live with.  I thought I was handling all of this pretty well but apparently not.  So I told him that he doesn't have to be there with me during delivery if he is going to get this worked up about it.  It is not doing any of us any good.  Hope this weeks doctors appointment goes better.

Baby News:
Sleeping:  Nope.  Heartburn has been really bad this week and is keeping me up.
Movement:  Tons and still kicking my ribs.
Cravings:  None.  Nothing sounds good but it seems like I'm eating all day long.
Worries:  Many but mostly getting my blood pressure under control.

32 Weeks

Whew, what a week.
Ryan and I went to our first baby class.  He had the night off so I made him go with me.  Very entertaining!  Ryan learned a few things.  He learned what a breech and a colic baby is.  He is hoping our baby isn't colicky.  Me too!!!  The teacher asked if there was anything we wanted to learn about and he said,"I'm just worried!"  After watching a few videos he has decided that we should adopt.  Ryan never wanted to before but after figuring things out he thinks it's the best option so then he doesn't have to see the delivery.  The doctor told me last week at my appointment that they have some good drugs to help get me through delivery so I told Ryan that and maybe they have good drugs for dads too.
Ryan and I headed to the farm to see the end of harvest.  I haven't been there since last spring.  Boy did I learn a lot on that trip.  It was pretty warm the day we got there and I knew I might be a little swollen so I packed some wide boots and tennis shoes.  As soon as we got there I felt like Cinderella's ugly step sister trying to shove my fat foot into my boots.  I thought I might go into labor from all the pulling so I moved on to the tennis shoes.  Much better until I tried to tie them.  All the bending over really hurts!  Oh, and it's not a good idea to try and tie shoes when you have to pee!  Day 2, it was chillier that day so I decided to put on my coat that I had brought.  I knew it was going to be a tight fit and I was pretty excited when I got it zipped.  Then I looked up and saw Ryan laughing at me so I looked down at my belly...I broke the zipper!  Rrrrr! I might be in trouble till this baby gets here because it is getting colder and I apparently don't have any winter close that still fit.  I hope it doesn't snow before she gets here!  On the way home I had a little panic attack.  I always pee before we leave and I knew I could make it to the next place that I could go.  Well, we ran into some road construction and we were about half an hour(without road delays) away from the gas station.  I knew my bladder was getting full but I knew I could make it.  Then all of a sudden she decided to use my bladder as a punching bag.  I looked and Ryan and asked,"How much longer?"  He thought I was trying to be funny.  So I let him know I wasn't kidding we might have to stop so I can go.  It wouldn't have been the first time I went on the side of the road but this would have been a little different since we were following a pilot car with a line of cars including a bus full of football players from Malta right behind us and a crew of workers in the next lane.  Thankfully she decided to move so the urge went away.

Baby News
Movement:  Lots of movement this week
Sleeping:  Not so much.  And nap time seems to be back.

31 Weeks

I had another doctors appointment this week.  All went well.  I thought I gained a little too much weight but according to the scale at the doctors office I didn't.  Yay!  Then I had a little scare when the doctor couldn't get her heart beat.  This little girl is just like her daddy.  She doesn't sit still!  She even kicked his doppler machine and it made a horrible sound.  The doctor says this is a good thing and I know that it means she is healthy and alive but I have a feeling it won't be such a good thing when she arrives.  Her heart beat was 160bpm.
Ryan is having a rough week.  As we get closer the more he freaks out.  I've read stories about this happening but it's just crazy.  He pushed me over the edge when I asked him to move the bed out of the babies room.  He informed me that it is staying.  "Where are people going to sleep when they come to visit?"  I said, "no one ever stays here and that's what happens when you only have 2 bedrooms."  He says" I have to finish the basement so someone can stay here?"  YES and no one stays here anyway!  Anyway he wasn't happy and not going to move it.  So I'm hoping that once we get the crib in there and everything else he will see that there just isn't enough room.  But that means that for now there won't be any room for the rocking chair and a few other things.  That is like the 20th "NO" he has said to me.  He wants the room decorated but doesn't want to change anything.  I need a tranquilizer for him so I can get this room done.  Decorating is turning out to be not as much fun as I thought it would be.

Baby News:
Movement:  Moving a lot and still likes to put her feet in my ribs.  Ryan finally felt her move.  Mr. Patient usually just puts his hand on my belly for a second expecting to feel something and doesn't.  So I held his hand on my belly and he got to feel her move her foot across my belly.  It was so funny.  I thought he was going to throw up.
Cravings:  A cold cold drink
Sleeping:  No,  way too hot even with the air on.
Worries:  Worried about this heat!  I came up with a great plan though.  I think I am going to start wearing my rain boots and put ice in them.  An ice bath wherever you go!

30 weeks! 10 to GO!!!

Wow I can't believe it...10 weeks and she will be here!  So exciting!

Busy week around here.  I took on a big but much needed project around here.  The crawl space!  The basement is a disaster with all my stuff from school and spare bedroom.  Where are we going to put everything.  I've been going through boxes trying to make some room for things and getting rid of things we don't use.  Surprisingly it was a lot of fun!  I found some boxes with some of my old things including my baby book and some of my old clothes and baby blankets(blanket Grandma made me).  I also went through some tubs of hand-me-downs from the cousins.  I've been storing baby clothes for years now so I decided to finally go through them and found a few things I could use since they are all boy clothes.  Did a few loads of laundry and wow everything is like brand new.  Hope she is like me and her favorite color is going to be blue.  After all the folding of clothes and blankets I put everything in her dresser.  Oh, so much fun!  As of right now the babies room has clothes, blankets, a bassinet, and books(I knew teaching would come in handy).  No crib yet.  Still hoping to put in some new flooring.  Anyways, still so much to do and the growing belly can only take so much bending over.  I've only taken things out of the crawl space and haven't put anything in yet.  So much stuff...where am I going to put it?!  We need a bigger house!!!

Ryan has taken on a big task.  Long ago there were a few goals he wanted to reach before we had kids.  Since I had to give a few things up while pregnant he thinks he should too.  He is doing a great job but lets just say things are a little tense around here.  I'm so proud of him and I hope he keeps it up!

Baby News
**Emotion:**  It has been a rough couple of weeks emotionally!  I am a MESS!  The nieces and nephews are killing me.  New school clothes, senior pictures, tryouts, Little League World Series, last year of school for one and first year of school for another, a friend delivered her baby and a couple others announcing they are expecting.  I know I am an emotional person anyway but I would rather have 9 months of heartburn than all this crying.  I might be spending the next 10 weeks in the psych ward.  BEWARE Emotionally INSANE!
Movement:  Still moving!  I'm not sure what she's doing but she has discovered a few ways to hurt me.  I'm starting to take some rib shots and something else to give me low back pain.
Sleep:  Not so much.  I used to have heartburn before I went to bed but not anymore.  This week I've been waking up at 1, 3, 4am with HeartBURN!
Cravings:  At the beginning of the week I was making alfredo sauce and mom's chicken cordon blue(both very rich) and now all I want is salad.
Worries:  Still delivery!

29 Weeks

Another picture
Summer 2010
NOW look at us!
Summer 2011
Becky(due Oct 8th), Kristy(due Oct. 4th), Me(due Oct. 29th)
There must have been something in the water!  This picture is from last weekend at Kristy's baby shower so I was 28 weeks.

So this week I had another Dr.'s appointment.  I made Ryan go with me since he wasn't working.  What a treat that was!  Ryan hasn't really liked to touch my growing belly too much because he didn't want to hurt the baby.  Well, at the doctors appointment he saw how rough the doctor was with my belly as he is showing us where the baby's head and butt were.  I am still amazed!  To be honest I can't tell the difference between the head and butt.  Ever since, Ryan is really enjoying shaking me around and waking her up.  After the doctor found her we listened to her heart beat.  He says, "154 bpm, perfect for a little BOY!"  He says this every time I go in but the look on Ryan's face was priceless!  Ryan  says,"Really?!  That would make me so happy.  The ultrasound lady did say she was only 99% sure."  I was laughing so hard.  The doc. looks at him and says, "I'm just being a smart a$$."  Gotta love him!!!  Totally made my day.  Oh and as the doctor is looking through my chart he says you look healthy and your weight looks great.  Thanks doc. because according to Ryan I've already gained 100lbs!  He said I'm not swollen either but by the end of a hot day I can feel my wedding ring.  So I decided to take it off.  Hopefully when the weather starts to cool down I will be able to wear it again.  I hate going without it!

Baby News
Movement:  Lots and lots of hiccups!  Especially since Ryan likes to wake her up.  Oh and there is A LOT of dancing on my bladder going on!  For some reason she also likes to wake up whenever Ryan goes to work(4am) or comes home from work(8am).  She must be like her daddy...if she's up then everyone else has to be too.

Sleep:  Yes.  Thank goodness.  I'm making up for last week.

Cravings:  No!  Nothing sounds good.  Not sure if its the heat or what but some days I don't eat much and then others I eat all day long!  Those days hurt.  I'm having a love/hate relationship with my belly.  On the outside my belly hurts from all the food and stretching but on the inside it says, feed me I'm starving!

Worries:  After last week, I am worried about burping.  Affraid I might throw up again!  And
DELIVERY!!!

28 weeks!

What a week it's been!  I found out Monday that I failed my glucose test by 1 point.  So I had to go in and have the 3 hour glucose test.  I wasn't looking forward to the 3 hour test.  I couldn't eat before the test and I could eat during the test.  That was the hardest part of it all.  They took my blood when I got there made me drink the sugary drink and then took blood every hour after that.  I have to say Rod(the lab guy) did a great job!  4 holes in my arms and no bruising.  I was hoping I wouldn't look like a junky afterwards.  It really wasn't that bad just boring.  It was all worth it though and I passed!!!  Yay!  I am so glad because I wasn't looking forward to watching my diet.  I've always had a sweet tooth but I haven't eaten too much the last 15 years or so.  In college they are just to expensive and then living with Ryan I didn't have to much either since he didn't like sweets.  But that has all changed the last month or so.  Ice cream, cookies, or some other dessert almost every day.  I am loving fulfilling my sweet tooth.

Not sure but my morning sickness might be back.  Last night we went over to a friends house after Ryan got off work.  I felt fine but the minute we pulled in the driveway I got sick!  I hadn't even turned off the car yet.  Ryan was already out of the car talking to his friend, thank God!  He turned around and asked me what I was doing.  I said I'm going home I just threw up!  SO embarrassing!

Baby News:
Sleeping:  NO!  Not sure if I was worried about the test or maybe still mad at the oil guy but I could not sleep a wink this week.  It didn't help that this little girl decided to be a night owl just like her daddy.  About 9p.m. every night she decides to party till midnight or later.  Bad news little lady cause Mommy is a morning person and we will be redoing this schedule you are on(I know wishful thinking).  And for some reason I am unable to take naps this week too.  I lay down hoping for a little one.  NOPE, not happening!
Cravings:  Dairy Queen
Movement:  Yes ALL night!  Lots of movement during the glucose test.  Poor little girl probably had a huge sugar high.
Worries:  Good bye 2nd trimester HELLO 3rd!  Holy cow!  I can't believe it.  I am so excited I can hardly stand it.  I never thought the day would come.  I know that her chances of survival are really good at this point but I still can't help but worry about a still birth.
