ICU

I started bleeding yesterday.  By midnight I was in so much pain I could barely talk.  I asked the nurse to take Rick from me because I was afraid I would drop him.  The nurses realized I was hemorrhaging so they took me into surgery.  I tried to call dad to let him know but he didn't hear his phone ring so I had to call his mom and dad.  They drove over and woke Ryan and took care of the girls while I was in surgery.  The doctors hoped it was going to be an easy fix but there were some complications.  My uterus started filling with blood so they had to take it out.  After surgery I went to the ICU where my blood pressure dropped dramatically.  I had to a blood transfusion.  By the end of the day I was able to see and hold Rick again but the girls had to stay away and were kept busy with family.

35.6 weeks

Today I had an appointment with the high risk specialist to check on my blood pressure and a few other things.  They did an ultrasound and non stress test.  He was a little worried so he ended up sending me to the hospital to be monitored.  I ended up staying in the hospital the rest of the day.  I was worried they would want to deliver the baby before Ryan could get home from work.

34.6 Weeks and ultrasound

Today did not go so well.  I am officially on bed rest.  So I spent the day at the Stabio spa.  Resting while I let the cold water decrease the swelling in my ankles.
